Cloud9 Gallery
The Cloud9 gallery will open soon. It is also an art residency at Artel 17/52 that will become the centre of the project’s creative life. Here artists will not only show their work but also live, work, create new pieces and engage in dialogue with guests and the city.
The Cloud9 concept is built on the idea of an artwork’s life cycle. A work will be born in the studio, shown in the gallery and become part of exhibition projects. Having travelled its path, it will return to the collection and eventually find its owner and a new home.
An important part of the project will be a collection archive bringing together works by the artists who take part in the life of the residency. Some of these works will be shown to guests again at special viewings and private projects that open access to rare and exclusive pieces.
We are already preparing for the opening: building the exhibition programme, developing a dialogue with artists and carefully selecting the works that will be the first to appear in the space.

What matters to us is not only the artist’s name or how topical a work is, but its artistic strength, its own voice, the quality of execution and its ability to enter into a conversation with the viewer.
